[Vesti] Xbox Breaks Black Friday Records; Windows 10 Gaming Continues To Rise

A winning combination of the most critically acclaimed holiday lineup of exclusives in Xbox history, the New Xbox One Experience complete with Backward Compatibility, and an extensive line-up of console bundles, drove record Xbox One sales in the U.S. and Xbox Store sales worldwide, with record engagement from Xbox fans around the world over Black Friday week.

  • Xbox fans around the world spent a total of 325 million hours gaming on Xbox Live this past week. Hours spent playing games on Xbox One last week were up 196 percent compared to Black Friday week in 2014, and time spent using Xbox apps increased a whopping 321 percent.
  • Worldwide Xbox Black Friday sales in the Xbox Store broke records with an increase of 57 percent across Xbox One and Xbox 360, global Xbox Live Gold subscriptions were up over 40 percent, and U.S. Xbox One console sales at retail were up 22 percent over the same period last year, making it the second biggest Black Friday week in 15 years of Xbox history in the U.S.
  • Total paid unique users in the Xbox Store also broke records with an increase of 55 percent across Xbox One and Xbox 360 compared to Black Friday week last year, with 88 percent growth on Xbox One alone.
  • Hardware is hot this holiday – the Xbox One 500GB Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle was the best-selling Xbox console bundle. The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller has been met with high demand and was sold out at most major U.S. retailers since launch and we are working hard with retailers to replenish stock.
  • Gamers have logged more than 4 million hours playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One since Backward Compatibility launched on Nov. 12.

We’ve also seen incredible Windows 10 gaming momentum heading into the holidays:

  • In November, hours spent gaming on Windows 10 exceeded Windows 8 for the first time ever.
  • Since Windows 10 launched in July, gamers have streamed over 5 million hours of Xbox One game content to Windows 10 PCs with Fallout 4 streamed the most frequently in November.
  • Last month, nearly 30 percent of all Steam players played on Windows 10; there were six times more gamers playing Steam on Windows 10 than OSX and Linux combined.
  • Nearly 20 percent of all non-mobile devices are now running on Windows 10 — roughly double from just 3 month ago.

Malo me iritira ovo kada pominju hours played, milioni deluju wow, ali je to relativno dok se ne uporedi sa necim. Ovde su to vecinom uradili, pricam o situacijama kada ne urade, bio MS ili neko drugi.

Mada, uz broj prodatih kopija/komada, je sve to u skladu sa modernim trendom merenja uspesnosti - broj aktivnih korisnika i intenzitet korsicenja.

Not bad. Mada je sve u procentima i bez tačnih brojki, videćemo kako će se sve to preslikati na prodaju u novembru. Sve u svemu, niže cene i dobra ponuda očigledno reflektuju i bolju prodaju. Nadam se da tamo nekome u Redmondu sija lampica ispod natpisa “More games = More sales”.

Na gafu je pisano nasiroko o ovome, cini se da je ps4 odnijeo pobjedu sa 1% vise udjela u prodajama od XO.
Definitivno godi kupcima ovaj rat konzola, obe konzole su se mogle naci za ispod 300$ sa jednom igrom i/ili sa nekim store kreditom. Htjedoh prevesti na nas store credit, pa se sjetih da zivimo na smetlistu civilizovanog svijeta i da je van pameti da ti prodavnica pokloni store credit. Dobro, moze bon. Dobijes konzolu, igru, i bon.

Zao mi je sto XO nije nagradjen u smislu prodaje zbog ekskluziva, ali se sada vidi kakva je zvijer ps4 i koliko ima jak word of mouth, bez ijedne first party ekskluzive u 2015.

E da, cini mi se da je bio bundle XO (1TB)+Halo 5+TR+GoW za 350$

^ Ovo! Ovo će još dugo Microsoft da kolje. Word of mouth i sama primamljivost hardverski jače konzole daju primat PS4 konzoli bez obzira na dosadašnje veoma dobre poteze od strane prethodno pomenute kompanije. Ali, sve je to dobro po nas igrače, kontam da BC i mnoge druge pogodnosti nikada ne bi izašle da je Microsoft imao podjednako dobar start kao i Sony.

Ovo sto PS4 radi je istorijski nema sta, cak se valjda bolje i prodaje od PS dvojke svojevremeno. Neverovatno je koliko znaci taj momentum, psihologija vecine i word of mouth. Generalno je zasluzeno, i ne zelim da hejtujem, ali ove holiday sezone je NEzasluzeno da se prodaje bolje nego XO. Ako se sa datim stanjem big name ekskluziva ovako prodaje, sta ce biti kada se one nagomilaju.

Sudecu po Phil-ovoj svojevremenoj izjavi, i oni su odustali od jurnjave za Sony-ijem (jer je vise nemoguce stici) i fokusirali se na sto bolju uslugu sa svoje strane. Sta drugo mogu da urade, i neka nastave…obavljaju odlican posao.

U kontekstu uspesnosti, i xboxu odlicnu ide tako da su ova dva branda i konzole generlano tu da ostanu i budu primarni fokous gaming industrije.

Kao što rekoh već bezbroj puta, uspeh PS4 je najbolja moguća stvar koja se desila Xbox-u i pokrenula preko potrebne promene diviziji koja stoji iza konzole. Valjda imaju nekog ko zapisuje sve pogrešne korake na tabli koju svako jutro vide na ulazu u office.

Ja vec sada razmisljam kako li ce izgledati sledeca generacija. Kontam da sada obe kompanije znaju sta i kako moze da prodje, tacnije sta ne moze. Niti jedna od njih nece sebi dopustiti greske koje su pravili u prethodne 2 generacije. (ps3 na pocetuku, xo na pocetku generacije) Sta mogu ponuditi kao distinktivni faktor za potrosaca, a da to ne bude samo jaci hardver. Hm…
