The Elder Scrolls Online is still a few months away, and Bethesda has yet to officially announce a collector’s edition. But as reported by GameTrailers, Amazon may have accidentally let the Khajiit out the bag a little early. An image appeared on the Dishonored Game of the Year Amazon page briefly, showing the “Imperial Edition” in all its glory.
The Elder Scrolls Online is getting a special ‘Imperial Edition’ with a host of extras, ZeniMax announced today. It will be available for $99.99 for a version with some physical and in-game extras, or $79.99 for a digital version without the tangible goodies.
The Imperial Edition includes a collector’s edition box with Steelbook packaging, a 12" statue of antagonist Molag Bal, a printed map of Tamriel, and a 224-page illustrated ‘Emperor’s Guide to Tamriel,’ according to the Bethesda Blog. The in-game bonuses let you play as an Imperial in any alliance, and give you a White Imperial Horse, mudcrab vanity pet, and the Rings of Mara.
Pre-orders are open on the Elder Scrolls Online store, and today’s announcement also outlined some extras for putting your money down early. Pre-ordering any edition of the game–standard or Imperial, digital or physical–will grant you the ‘Explorer’s Pack.’ That nets you a scuttler vanity pet, four bonus treasure maps, and the ability to play as any of the nine races in any alliance. If you pre-order the PC or Mac digital version, you’ll also get 5 days of early access.
Bethesda and ZeniMax Online rung in the announcements with a new cinematic trailer as well.
