Mogućnost streamovanja PS igara na PC i druge uređaje

PlayStation games could one day stream directly to PCs, Smart TVs and smartphones in a series of developments that would see the PlayStation brand repositioned as a service rather than a series of consoles.

In an interview with Dengeki Online (via Dualshockers), SCE Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida explained that the rollout of Gaikai’s cloud services on PlayStation 4 next year is just the beginning of what the company hopes to achieve.

“Speaking of the ultimate goal, we would like to deliver PlayStation games to all devices,” he said. "So we’re considering various things like PC, TVs, Blu-ray players, smartphones and tablets. We hope to continue to expand not only to Sony devices, but even to devices other than Sony’s. This is still being studied.

“We previously spoke about PlayStation going from hardware to something closer to a service, regardless of the device — Of course PlayStation will still be the center, but I think we would like to expand to different things.”

When the service is launched in North America early next year, Gaikai will be used to allow PlayStation 4 owners to enjoy PlayStation 3 games on their console, despite the upcoming device not natively offering backwards compatibility. While it’s exciting to hear that the company is keen to offer its titles to as many people as possible down the road, it’s still reassuring to hear that the console business will remain its focus for the foreseeable future.

The PlayStation 4 will be available in North America on November 15 and in Europe on November 29.

TL;DR - Kako će u početku preko Gaikai-a da se streamuju PS3 igre na PS4, nadaju se da će u budućnosti takvo streamovanje omogućiti prenos PS igara na PC, TV, bluray plejere, smartphoneove i tablete.
