Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Nemesis ce biti mnogo povrsniji nego na next gen-u

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s Nemesis system—in which certain enemies encountered rise in rank and skill and hold grudges depending on your interactions with them—will be scaled back for the current-gen versions.

Speaking to IGN, design director Michael de Plater stated that most of Shadow of Mordor will be the same across PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 versions. Graphical quality, of course, will be superior on next-gen consoles. But because of the size and scope of the Nemesis system and the “content, calculations, and AI” it requires, it can’t be executed in full on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

“To break it down, some of the stuff we’re pretty confident will still be very similar on current gen: the core mechanics, like combat, stealth, ranged and movements; the basic control and gameplay, that should all be really solid,” de Plater told IGN. “What it won’t have is the same level of depth and variety and simulation with the ‘Nemesis system.’”

Shadow of Mordor is slated to launch across PC and consoles later this year.
