Microsoft has released a new video explaining how owners of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition can upgrade and transfer their worlds to Minecraft: Xbox One Edition when it goes live tomorrow.
To export a world, start by launching Minecraft on Xbox 360 under the profile that contains the world, then hit “Play Game” and select the world you wish to transfer, then press Y to upload the save, finally head over to the Xbox One version, press “Play Game” and then press X to retrieve the world. Only one world can be transferred at a time.
Upgrading to Xbox One is a way more simple task. Simply go to Xbox One Games Store select Minecraft, and if you have a copy of the Xbox 360 Edition on your account the price will read $4.99 instead of $19.99.
Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be available from tomorrow, September 5.
