Deep Silver has announced that Metro Redux will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC from August 26 in North America and August 29 in Europe.
The collection includes completely remastered versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. The Redux version of Metro 2033 has been rebuilt using Last Light‘s engine, and features a day and night cycle, the ability to wipe your character’s mask clean, higher levels of detail, and redone cinematic. While the Redux version of Last Light is also getting a graphical upgrade, along with two fan-requested features: the ability to check their watch and inventory.
Players will have the option of two modes in both games: Survival or Spartan. Survival is based on Metro 2033‘s play style with limited supplies and ammo and tougher AI, while Spartan offers faster-paced action with more resources more akin to Last Light.
Both titles will run at 60 frames per second on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the former running at 1080p and the latter at 900p.
Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux will be available to purchase digitally for $24.99 each on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, or as the Metro Redux pack at retail for $49.99.
