It’s not every day new content just magically shows up for a game that’s more than a year old. For some reason, 2012’s Hitman: Absolution has been updated today with new contracts for every platform.
Each new contract is platform-exclusive. On Xbox 360, you’ll play through a doughnut shop massacre (pictured). On PS3, you’ll run into a pyromaniac ice cream seller. Finally, on PC, you’ll go through a haunted house.
It’s unclear why there’s new content for Hitman all of a sudden, but we’re sure fan won’t mind. Developer IO Interactive is working on a new entry to the series, and the game’s Facebook page (via [URL=“http://www.joystiq.com/2014/01/08/new-contracts-find-their-way-into-hitman-absolutions-dossier/”]Joystiq) has teased that 2014 will be “a very exciting year” for the franchise.
