Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford teased details about Borderlands 3 during the company’s panel at PAX East.
“Obviously, there is going to be another Borderlands,” Pitchford said.
The game is still in early development, and Pitchford even said that they’re not even sure if the game will end up being called “Borderlands 3.”
The art director behind upcoming first-person MOBA, Battleborn, will also serve as art director on Borderlands 3. Mikey Neumann, who wrote Gearbox’s main-series Brothers in Arms games and provides the voice of Claptrap, will write the game’s story.
Pitchford said that Battleborn‘s upcoming DLC will have hints about Borderlands 3, but will require players to “look deeply” to find them.
