[h=1]Sprint reportedly rolling out Android 4.4.3 update for Nexus 5 users[/h]

Sprint has announced the release of a firmware update for its Nexus 5 users which features ‘Misc Android updates’ and a build version number that matches the previously rumoured build number of Android 4.4.3 KitKat. The update is currently rolling out to users in the US.The firmware update goes by the build name KTU8AF (KTU8 was the previously speculated Android 4.4.3 build number for the Nexus 5), and enables the device to work on Sprint’s LTE network on bands 26 and 41. The network operator on [URL=“http://support.sprint.com/support/article/Find_and_update_the_software_version_on_your_Google_Nexus_5/WServiceAdvisory_542_GKB61196?INTNAV=SU:DP:TS:UG:GoogleNexus5:FindAndUpdateTheSoftwareVersionOnYourGoogleNexus5”]support page mentions that the update will be available starting 14 April and will be rolled out completely to other users in stages.

With Android 4.4.3, Google has [URL=“http://www.gsmarena.com/sprint_releases_android_443_for_the_nexus_5-news-8290.php”]reportedly fixed problems with data connection loss, random reboots, missed calls and various camera bugs. Other than existing bug fixing, the Android 4.4.3 is said to not bring anything new in terms of features and UI interface.
So far, the update has not been listed on Google’s factory Images for Nexus Devices page, but it is speculated that it will soon be available to other users in U.S, as the ‘KTU’ text code is usually used for all the Nexus 5 unlocked U.S variants.
Earlier a report citing sources suggested that Android 4.4.3 is undergoing the dogfooding stage, and Google has given it to 1 percent of its employees. It is apparently limited to the Nexus line of devices - namely the [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/lg-nexus-4-781”]Nexus 4, Nexus 5, [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/asus-google-nexus%207-1478”]Nexus 7 2012, [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/asus-google-nexus%207%20%282013%29-1466”]Nexus 7 2013 and [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/samsung-google-nexus%2010-1480”]Nexus 10. The report further noted that the update is also expected to soon roll-out to Google Play Edition devices from [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tags/htc”]HTC, [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tags/samsung”]Samsung, [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tags/lg”]LG, [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tags/sony”]Sony and [URL=“http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tags/motorola”]Motorola.
From the dogfooding stage to the release, the Android 4.4.3 update seems to have travelled quickly and can be expected to roll-out the same way to other users.

Bice bice, Nexus uredjaji uvek prvi dobiju update, posle toga nicu custom romovi za sve ostale

Evo gledam već u 3 roma ista stvar a i dobih malopre potvrdu od deva jednog od njih. Google iz romova izbacuje aplikaciju za sms poruke da bi forsirao hangouts.

To je odavno tako, izvuces iz bilo kog roma Mms.apk i instaliras samo i dobijes Mesaaging app

Zadnji custom rom što sam koristio je pacman od 31.3 i on je imao normalno aplikaciju. Ok kapiram ja da je nekima hangouts super stvar, ali čim mi neko nameće rešenje pa i nek je bolje 1000 puta u meni sa javlja otpor :smiley:

ni ja ne volim hangouts za SMS, mesa mi se sa drugim stvarim, sta znam a i navikao sam na obican Messaging app, do jaja mi je, prost a funkcionalan

ima i GO SMS PRO npr da se skine, ali previse unakazena aplikacija za samo jednu svrhu…

Sad ga pretjeraste… Meni je Hangouts za slanje SMS-a on day-one. Moja jedina zamjerka sto kad ocu da saljem sms u upalim prvo sto gleda ko je od mojih prijatelja online na hangouts-u pa tek onda da saljem sms. Nesta kao lag od nekih sekundu, dvije… Valjda ce popraviti to

Eh pa zamisli sad izbace hangouts totalno iz svih novih 4.4.3 romova i play store-a i preostane ti opcija da moraš da koristiš nešto novo.
Meni stvarno smeta to da mi se sad IM meša u sms tj. smeta mi što su ukinuli mogućnost izbora.
Treba mi jednostavan app,da mi se jedni kontakti ne mešaju s drugima i nikako ova čudesa da vidim koji je deo konverzacije onaj primalac pročitao ili da on vidi da li sam ja pročitao njegovu poruku pa ga kuliram sa ne odgovaranjem ili šta već :smiley:
