NCsoft and ArenaNet have announced the date and start time of Guild Wars 2‘s Heart of Thorns closed beta test.
Testing will officially begin on May 26, and run in two hour blocks with breaks between each block, according to the developer. The current schedule can be found below:
11:30 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
3:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
7:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to 9:30 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7)
Players who obtained a portal to the Heart of Maguuma during the special event in Dry Top and the Silverwastes will receive an e-mail with all the details they need to enter the beta. ArenaNet will also be granting access to a random selection of players who signed up for the Guild Wars 2 newsletter.
During the beta, players will be able to use a revenant—or any of the existing eight professions—to play a small part of the expansion’s story content. There will also be two beta versions of outposts and their corresponding adventures in part of the Verdant Brink map. As well as this, a partially completed version of the day/night cycle meta-event found in Verdant Brink will also be available.
This test is not under any sort of nondisclosure agreement, so players can stream and discuss the beta
